Rishi Sunak has been mocked for using a hammer “wrong” during a live TV report. Footage shows the prime minister using the hammer sideways during a live report on ITV News on 23 November. This led to people, including former Conservative MP Nadine Dorries mocking Mr Sunak. She reacted to the clip, tweeting: “Nooooo way! What is he doing? Is this the first PM ever who has never seen a hammer, or paid for petrol, or filled up his own car?” However, it appears the prime minister was told to use the hammer on its side.
