The candidates faced off Tuesday night (10 September) during the presidential debate in Philadelphia, the first since President Joe Biden stepped down from the Democratic ticket in July. Despite a splash poll showing that Harris “won” the debate in the eyes of voters, Trump claimed it was his “best yet” when quizzed by journalists in the spin room afterwards. Trump added: “It was very interesting and showed how weak they are.”
