Watch as a tornado tears across the horizon in Sterling County, Texas. Footage, shared by Sheriff Russell Irby, shows the massive cloud touching down on a grass field in front of his patrol car. The National Weather Service reported that at least three tornadoes rolled through Texas on Wednesday evening (22 May), including one in the city of Temple, located about 60 miles northeast of Austin. There were no immediate reports of deaths or injuries. Forecasters have warned a potentially record-breaking heatwave could hit the state in the coming days. Parts of Texas could see temperatures of more than 115F over the weekend.
