One of the men at the centre of the Manchester Airport video has a cyst on his brain, his lawyer has said following the incident on Wednesday, 24 July. A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officer has been suspended from all duties after a video emerged showing a man being kicked at Manchester Airport. This prompted hundreds of demonstrators to gather outside a Rochdale police station on Wednesday. Police said three officers were assaulted, including a female PC who suffered a broken nose, and four men were arrested. A referral has now been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct for a full independent investigation, GMP added. Akhmed Yakoob, who is representing the man’s family, said: “His medical condition has worsened since last night. A CT scan has revealed there is a cyst on his brain.”
